Why did you choose Dalton State? Graduating with little to no student debt was very important to me. The affordable tuition at Dalton State and the grants I had access to through the school made that goal a reality and allowed me to start the next chapter of my life without any financial burdens.

What does it mean to you to be part of the Roadrunner Nation? It means being part of a community that believes in the transformative power of education as a vehicle for self-growth.

What did you do after graduation? Took some time to celebrate before starting the search for a career wherein I could utilize my degree.

Who was your favorite professor and why? Dr. Tami Tomasello, for always challenging me and pushing me beyond what I thought were my limits.

What were some of your biggest achievements or accomplishments at Dalton State? I received the Rob Narke Academic Excellence Award my senior year for presenting an original research project at the 2021 Georgia Communication Association conference. I’m also proud of my 3.7 GPA because it represents my four years of consistent hard work.

Where was your favorite study spot? The second floor of the Roberts Library was quiet and peaceful, and the view of the woods was the calming presence I needed at times.

How did being at Dalton State change your life? Dalton State gave me the tools to shape the rest of my life and allowed me to meet several people whom I hope to keep in it.

What is the last book you read? “The Name of the Wind” by Patrick Rothfuss

Favorite comfort food? Crumbl Cookies or Duck Donuts. I have a sweet tooth.

Favorite line from a movie? “Do or do not. There is no try” – Yoda

What is a skill you’d like to learn and why? I’d like to learn how to play the piano because everyone is impressed by someone who can play the piano.

What cheers you up? Being greeted by two excited and playful dogs every time I get home never fails to put a smile on my face.

What is your favorite book? “The Once and Future King” by T.H. White

Who would play you in the movie version of your life? Justin Bieber

If you could go back in history, who would you like to meet? Leonardo Da Vinci, one of the most brilliant minds in history and a towering figure in both the arts and sciences.

What is your favorite app? Spotify – Anyone who knows me knows I’m a huge music lover

Where is your favorite place to eat? Anywhere with sushi – Fuji, Totto and Sushi Nabe are all great.

As a Roadrunner, what does it mean to Run Boldly? It means fully committing yourself to the things that are important to you. It means having confidence in yourself that you can achieve the things you set you mind to. It means never settling for just getting by when you can be exceptional.
